Reciprocity is not quid pro quo
Reciprocity is a mutual beneficial action entered into out of respect and care and ending with positive results for all involved. Whereas quid pro quo is arranged services exchanged for favors of involved parties
Reciprocity is a very important component in our relationships as well as the day-to-day operations of our communities. It is real leverage. It is the truth. Without reciprocity our relationships as well as our communities will certainly fail.
A house built with sand as the foundation will not stand for it cannot weather impending storms, do not live in fear for there is hope on the horizon. That hope for our future sits on the shoulders of our youth. It is not too late for them to unlearn what we’ve been taught to do all our lives. It has become necessary to discard previous antiquated habits. We should teach future generations to be selfless and care for others, so that we can create the change we wish to see. This is reciprocity!
