I met the sculptor, Jim Hager Sculpture in Montgomery, Alabama this past August at The Rosa Parks Museum where he debuted his thought provoking exhibition called “Homeless.” As soon as I received the invite from my Aunt’s museum I knew I had to meet this artist because he was shining a light and bringing into focus the homelessness community that is so near and dear to my heart. These are our brothers and sisters living in the streets tossed aside as if they were rubbish. His sculptures are skillfully designed in white marble with powerful messaging chiseled into them… some bringing the audience observing them to tears. His work is a must see to be fully be appreciated. You can literally feel the pain and the hope of the homeless community through his work.
